HMES PTA - 2026-2027 Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteering with the PTA is one of the best ways that parents and other family members can support the students and staff at our school!

 

Please review the brief descriptions of each volunteer area and indicate your interests. Your contact information will then be shared with the PTA board member or committee chair that is organizing that event or program and they will be in touch with you.

Teacher Appreciation Volunteers
Assist with teacher appreciation events during the school day - (set up, clean up, etc.)

After School Club Support
Help run or assist with an after school club of your choice! We are specifically looking for volunteers for our Spelling Bee and Knitting clubs! Share your interests and passions with kids!

Room Parent
Help's their child's teacher with various tasks. Assist with classroom parties or special events. Coordinate teacher gifts for holidays, their birthday and teacher appreciation week. Participate as a chaperone for field trips. Help organize additional parent volunteers for classroom events. Note Only Parents may sign up to be room parents! So please be sure that you are selecting your own name when signing up. Thank you!

Watch D.O.G.S. (Dads of Great Students) help bring positive male role models into schools to help out during the day! Volunteers - fathers, grandfathers, uncles, big brothers, etc,
