These are a few of the ways that room parents help teachers:

• Be a liaison between the PTA and parents in your classroom
  
  
• Share information with class parents about upcoming PTA, school and community events
  
  
• Provide classroom assistance, as needed by teacher
  
  
• Assist with classroom parties or special events
  
  
• Coordinate teacher gifts for holidays, their birthday and teacher appreciation week
  
  
• Participate as a chaperone for field trips 
  
  
• Help organize additional parent volunteers for classroom events
